Frequently Asked Questions

What is Letter4U used for?

Letter4U helps you create emotional, shareable digital pages such as private love letters and retro memory slideshows. You can add text, photos, optional YouTube music, then publish and share with a custom link.

What is the difference between Love Letter and CRT TV Slideshow?

Love Letter is designed for private one-to-one messages and uses a required 4-digit PIN lock. CRT TV Slideshow focuses on visual storytelling with photos and can include optional YouTube music for playback mood.

How does privacy work on my pages?

The Love Letter template is protected by a 4-digit PIN before content is shown. Share links should still be treated carefully, and you can remove pages later from your account tools if you no longer want them accessible.

Where is my account, page, and counter data stored?

Published pages are saved in Firestore. User profile/credits and live public counters are synced with Realtime Database. This split helps keep content and realtime values fast and organized.

How do credits work when I publish?

Publishing consumes credits based on your content size. The app calculates text credits from message length and photo credits from image count, then uses the higher value. Minimum publish cost is 1 credit.

What photo files are supported and what are the limits?

You can upload PNG and JPG/JPEG files. The current limit is up to 14 photos per page, and images are compressed for better loading speed when viewers open your letter page.

Can I edit or delete a page after publishing?

Yes. You can manage your created pages from the My Pages area, including opening/editing existing content and removing pages you no longer want to keep shared.

What should I check if sign-in or publish fails?

First confirm you are signed in with Google. Then check your internet connection, available credits, and required fields (like title, PIN for Love Letter, and at least one photo for CRT). If it still fails, verify Firebase Auth setup and rules for your environment.
